Our volunteers work no more than 1 - 4 hours per week
An initiative lead owns the organization’s initiative (ex: Save Our Hearts, Mindful Minute, etc). This individual identifies the community’s needs, the organization’s objectives, and works directly with the executive team to craft a vision for executing and expanding that specific initiative. The initiative lead rallies their own to turn that vision into a reality.
Ideal Qualities/Experience- Can work very effectively at a conceptual level
- Great communication skills
- - Understands the core issue (heart health, mental health, etc)
- Data and analytical savvy
- Decisive and experimental
- Reports directly to CEO
- Works with both internal and external stakeholders
- Helps define the vision of the initiative
- Leads execution for the vision of the initiative
- Helps outline and lead the initiative team to achieve success

A partnerships coordinator builds, fosters, and maintains relationships with new and existing non-governmental partners. This individual works closely with the initiative lead to identify the best partners to incorporate into the successful execution of the initiative’s strategy. Partners may include: advocacy groups, businesses, research institutions, etc.
Ideal Qualities/Experience- Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
- Persistent and shameless about following up
- Work closely with the initiative lead to identify partnership strategies
- Works with both internal and external stakeholders
- Act as a liaison between the organization and its external partners
- Meet with partners to pitch partnerships and share updates regularly
